Competition Terms and Conditions

Look out for our competition on Facebook during Gas Safety Week (11-17 September 2023) for your chance to win a £50 Amazon e-voucher, a carbon monoxide alarm and the Gas Safety Guardians 2024 calendar. Plus, we’re giving 50 runners up a carbon monoxide alarm and a calendar.

The following Terms and Conditions apply:

1. By entering this competition, the entrant is deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions. Gas Safe Register reserves the right to refuse entry or refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.
2. The prizes offered are:
   One winner will receive a £50 Amazon e-voucher, a carbon monoxide alarm and the Gas Safety Guardians 2024 calendar.
   50 runners-up will receive a free Gas Safety Guardians 2024 calendar and a carbon monoxide alarm. Prizes are not transferable and there is no cash alternative.
3. The competition is open to anyone over the age of 18 residing in the UK, Isle of Man, Guernsey or Jersey.
4. Gas Safe Register employees and their relatives are not eligible for entry.
5. Only one entry per person will be entered into each competition.
6. There is no entry fee or purchase necessary to enter this competition.
7. To enter, simply leave a comment under the Facebook competition post with your answer to the task below: Competition: Solve the puzzle – Piece together the puzzle and reveal Doug by correctly identifying the missing number piece.
8. The competition will open at 09:00 BST Monday 11th September 2023; and close at 23:59 BST 17th September 2023.
   Entries submitted outside of these times will not be included in the competition.
9. Gas Safe Register accepts no responsibility for entries lost; online failures; or any other communication failures or circumstances affecting the prize draw in any manner including without limitation, receipt of entries, ability to participate in the prize draw, winner notification, or winner response to notification.
10. One grand prize winner and 50 runners up will be selected at random from all the correct entries. The winners will be notified via Facebook within 10 days of the closing date.
11. The winners must claim their prize within 28 days of notification. Unclaimed prizes after this time will be void.
12. The prize may not be claimed by a third party on the winner’s behalf. Gas Safe Register reserves the right to request proof of identification for the winner claiming the prize.
13. Gas Safe Register's decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered in to.
14. Gas Safe Register reserves the right to publish the details of the winners in any follow up PR, on the Gas Safe Register website and social media channels.
15. Gas Safe Register reserves the right to cancel or change the draw or prize at any time without prior notice.
16. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook. You understand that you are providing your information to Gas Safe Register and not to Facebook.
17. By submitting personal data, the entrant consents to Gas Safe Register’s and its agency, Vertical Leap use of that data for the purposes of the competition. For full details on how we will use your data please see our Privacy Policy. The winners will need to provide a valid postal address and email address, which will be used to administer the prize.
18. Gas Safe Register will not accept responsibility for any prizes being lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of the cause, including, for example, as a result of any postal failure, equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer, hardware or software failure of any kind.
19. Gas Safe Register reserves the right to delete any comments on the Facebook posts that are deemed inappropriate.
