Carbon Monoxide awareness week
Carbon monoxide charity CO-Awareness takes to the road to raise
awareness.
CO-Awareness Week is organised by CO-Awareness, a charity set up by
campaigner Lynn Griffiths to support victims of carbon monoxide
poisoning and increase awareness of this deadly gas.
Now in its sixth year, it is set to hit the road again
with a series of events up and down the country. Following an
official launch event at the House of Lords
on 21st November, CO- Awareness Week gets underway at the
following venues:

Carbon monoxide poisoning can
kill. Remember to have all your gas appliances, including
boilers, gas cookers and gas fires, safety
checked annually to help prevent your gas appliance
from producing carbon monoxide.
You should also fit an audible carbon monoxide alarm and remember
the six main symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning:
- Headaches
- Dizziness
- Nausea
- Breathlessness
- Collapse
- Loss of consciousness
